About us

Our founder, Harini Logan, inspired by her journey through language learning and academic excellence, created Kalvi to make quality education accessible to everyone. Kalvi brings together educators, learners, and community organizations to uplift lives through language, literacy, and learning.

Our Mission

Kalvi’s mission is to expand access to linguistic education by mentoring learners worldwide, fundraising to host spelling bees in underserved communities, and sponsoring champions from countries like Morocco, Nigeria, and Ghana to compete on global stages.

Through blogs and podcasts with education and policy experts, we open conversations about access in linguistic education, while helping build a community that sparks a lifelong love for language in all students.

Vision

Our Vision

We imagine a world where every child can learn in a language they understand. A world where language is not a barrier but a bridge to opportunity. Our vision is to see every learner equipped with the tools to succeed, regardless of where they come from or what language they speak at home.

We believe in a future where literacy is global, learning is joyful, and no child is left behind because of the language they speak.

One child at a time. One word at a time.

Our values

  • We educate: We believe in the power of teaching. Not just subjects, but self-worth. Through spelling, storytelling, and structured literacy, we help students grow into confident and capable learners.

  • We celebrate language: Language is identity. It is history, culture, and connection. We celebrate every language our students bring to the table and teach with that respect at heart.

  • We empower: Every learner has potential. We focus on helping them unlock it through personalized education, skill-building, and mentorship.

  • We collaborate: Education thrives in community. We work with schools, families, and global partners to build programs that are local in focus and global in impact.

  • We stay accountable: Every step we take is guided by impact. We measure success not by numbers alone but by the real progress our students make in their lives.
